George William Frederick Osborne

George William Frederick Osborne, was born on 21 July 1775, he succeeded his mother Amelia, as Baron Conyers in 1784, and his father as sixth Duke of Leeds, became master of the horse to George IV.

He was Lord Lieutenant of the North Riding of Yorkshire, Governor of the Islands of Scilly, Ranger of Richmond Forest and Constable of Middleham Castle.

George William Frederick Osborne, Duke of Leeds, Marquis of Carmarthen, Earl of Danby, Co. York, Viscount Latimer of Danby, Baron Conyers of Hornby Castle, and Osborne of Kiveton, Co. York, in the Peerage of England; Viscount Osborne of Dumblane, Co. Perth, in the Peerage of Scotland; a Baronet of England; he married, on the 17th August, 1797, Lady Charlotte, second daughter, by the second marriage, of George, 1st Marquess of Townshend, by Anne, daughter of Sir William Montgomery.

By this marriage, he had issue:

He died 10 July 1838 and was succeeded by his only surviving son Francis Godolphin D'Arcy.
