Gervase Hanson married Elizabeth (widow of William Castleford) who was daughter of John Booth of Handsworth Woodhouse

Notes re Elizabeth: by her husband William Castleford, she had a son John Castleford and a daughter Isabella Castleford.

Elizabeth Castleford of Worsbroughe, Yorkshire, widdowe, conveys to Robert Elmhirst of Houndhill, John Elmhirst of Pillay, John Nodder of Woodthorpe, Thomas Stacye of Ballifeild, Yorkshire, yomen, and Jervas Hanson, the court leet and view of frankpledge of Worsbroughe and Worsbroughdale, Yorkshire, with all its powers and duties, she having been granted the manor and its two capital messuages of Rockley (Robert Rockley) and Falthwaite (Henry Walker), to the use of John Castleford, Elizabeth's son and his issue, and failing issue to the use of Isabella Castleford her daughter, and her issue, and failing issue to Elizabeth's right heirs

Jervas Hanson and Elizabeth his wife (widow of William Castleford), agree with Isabella Castleford, spinster, Elizabeth's daughter, to levy a fine to John Stacye and John Nodder the younger of Hansworth, Yorkshire, yeomen, the nominee to be Robert Danyell of Worbroughdale, of the manor of Darley Hall, bought by Elizabeth's father John Booth of Humfrey Goodwyn , and other property - to uses, mainly for the benefit of Isabella. 2 August, 1632. Signed by Jervas, Elizabeth and Isabella, and 2 other copies, one signed by Jervas, Elizabeth and Isabella, the other by Danyell, Stacye and Nodder.

Edward Adam of London, grocer, and Isabella his wife, agree with Sherland Adam of Eyam, Derbyshire, clerk, and Anthony Roberts of London, gentleman, that they will levy a fine to Josias Hart of London, merchant, of the manors of Darley and Worsbrough, Yorkshire and all their appurtenances to the use of Edward and Isabella and the longer liver, and their issue, in default to the use of Isabella's other issue and in default to the use of Edward's other issue.

Will and probate of Jervas Hanson of Worsbroughdale, Yorkshire, yeoman. 1648-1649. Most of his property to his son Edward (with privileges to the testator's mother Elizabeth), now under twenty-one; his tuition is left to the Testator's brother Richard. Other relatives wife Hellen (who is to have Wasse House) son-in-law William Tilney, son of Henry Tilney of Wath, his stepson; he is under twenty-one.
