Memory of Lord Scarborough

One of my best memories I think around 1974/5.

Lord Lumley, 12th Earl of Scarborough, would park outside our house, opposite the Lumley Arms at Maltby, knock on the front door and wait for Dad, Bert Bowers, with his bag full of watercolour paints and home made fold-up stool and easel, to go with him.

Dad Painted lots of Lord Lumley's Gamekeepers Cottages/lodge's and also his home Sandbeck Hall, near Maltby.

This photograph is scanned from an old Polaroid photo taken by my brother John Bowers. Me and my other brother Brian Bowers also enjoyed the day.

Lord Lumley

Miss you Dad x.
