Holidays at Home

I cannot remember the year although I believe it was 1942, during Holidays at Home, I remember the big white marque set up in the park close to the bottom of Middle Lane. The weather was nice ...

A German Bomber dropped a bomb on Clifton Park. I remember going to my home in Lister Street to find we had lost some tiles off the roof.

Holidays at Home took place in August to coincide with the school holidays, and possibly the better weather and very light nights with Double Summer Time.
