Shore of Sheffield
Tapton Hill was the seat of William Shore. In 1440 John Shore of Barnsley granted to William Shore all his lands and tenements in Sheffield.
Samuel Shore , in 1708, improved his property by making purchases of timber from Sheffield Park.
