The son of Susanne Boomer of Spa Farm, Treeton became President of the Swiss Confederation in 1883

Benjamin BOOMER m. 1737 Thrybergh Elizabeth HALL (b.1713 Sheffield, dau. Joseph). Children born Rotherham:

Jacob is listed in 1784 as a Grocer, Chandler & Soap Boiler. He was in partnership with John Drake and John Oxley, in the Business of Dealers in Wines and Spirituous Liquors and Distillers which was dissolved in January, 1809.

Jacob Boomer was also in partnership as Oil-Drawers, at Ickles under the Firm of Hall, Walker, and Boomer, which was also dissolved in 1809.

Jacob died 14th June 1811, aged 72 years. His wife Elizabeth died May 20th 1803, aged 61 years.

Francis Louis Ruchonet was a lieutenant in the Swiss Artillery, and met Susannah while visiting a local vicarage. They married in 1831 at Rotherham Parish Church. Antoine Louis John Ruchonnet their son was born on 28th April, 1834 - a citizen of Saint Sapharin. An attorney by profession, he had a career in Swiss politics.

He was elected President of the Swiss Confederation in 1883, 1890; Vice-president in 1882, 1889.

Antoine Louis John Ruchonnet died on September 14, 1893


It is thought that Benjamin & Mary are the Boomers of Haworth Hall. Mary Hall Boomer, died 1839 at Haworth Hall


John BOOMER, born 1809 Belper, Dbys. m. in 1823 to Harriet HOYLAND, they had a daughter Harriet Elizabeth, born in Whiston in 1832

John Boomer m. Matilda ? . Children, born Whiston:

In 1862 John Boomer along with Thomas N. Bardwell, was a proprietor of the Parish of Whiston. He was of Broom House, and Conisborough.

In 1881 John and Matilda were living in Edlington, farming 490 acres. Family:

The partnership of Boomer Pratt and Bray, Wine merchants was dissolved in 1829.
