Rotherham Archaeological Society AGM event

The annual Rotherham Archaeological Society AGM event has come around again and this year on 24th May, popular speaker David Anson is give us a talk about the legends of King Arthur entitled 'The Five King Arthurs' followed by a traditional Buffet Supper.

We nearly all accept that King Arthur is a composite character and his story has many aspects, both ancient and modern. The story has changed over time but when and where did it begin and how did it get to its present form? Why is it so popular and how did a Celtic legend become so essentially English? David discusses five aspects of the King Arthur legends followed by an opportunity for the audience to introduce their own six, seven or eight!
