Rotherham Fake Festival's Introducing Stage with Emerging Artists

New and up and coming artists take to the stage at Rotherham Fake Festival before they hit the big time

You've heard of Radio 1's Introducing stage and the campaign for new music? Head down to Rotherham Fake Festival on Saturday 20th August at Clifton Park for their very own introducing stage, with some of the hottest new and emerging talent in the region.

This year, Rotherham Fake Festival will be showcasing some of the most exciting artists in the region who will no doubt be taking the music industry by storm in the future.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to see a hand-picked selection of these artists from 12.30pm.

"We feel that Fake Festivals is the perfect platform for unsigned artists to showcase their talent in front of a friendly local crowd," says Jez Lee, organizer of Fake Festivals. "We provide them with a main stage area and an amazing sound and lighting system for their performance, something unsigned artists do not normally have the chance of."

"Being a festival organization, we like to encourage local artists to get involved with Fake Festivals as the support acts to the main tribute bands. We understand how difficult it is nowadays for new artists to make it in the industry, so we wanted to provide a platform for them in their own regional area where we can help them gain further exposure."

The support artists performing at this year’s Rotherham Fake Festival are:
Colour Me Stunned from Barnsley. An originals band, they have strong influences from Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. They will be sure to get the tent rocking with their energetic set.

Make sure you arrive early to catch Dirty Jeans, an indie band from Barnsley who have already release two EP's, and are due to release a third! Watch out for these guys as Fake Festivals predicts great things for them.

South View Juniors is another original band. With five members, the band has been making great tracks in the music industry, and received positive reviews from magazines such as Sandman, and also the BBC. This is certainly one band to listen out for.

Failed Theory is an indie rock band from Sheffield who are about to release their EP title 'Been Broken'. The band has played all around the region building up a solid fanbase, and have also had airplay on Rother FM. These guys will certainly be rocking the Fake Festivals marquee!

Inlaze will be opening Rotherham Fake Festival with their rock sound and beats, getting festival goers tapping their feet to their strong set of rock tunes.

"You just never know who’s going to turn up to a Fake Festival," continues Jez. "We’ve had professional from the music industry come along to check out the unsigned artists, the news editor of NME magazine, plus scouts from various record labels and venues come and check them out. So the support artists need to ensure they put on the best performance they can as you just don’t know who will be in the crowd."

As well as the supports, the festival will see the tribute acts to The Killers, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Foo Fighters.
