Professor De Lyle's Magic and Wonder Show

An exhibition 'Professor De Lyle's Magic and Wonder Show' can be seen at Weston Park Museum, Sheffield, until October.

This magic lantern show explores the lives of George Fox (Professor De Lyle) and his daughter Winnie Fox (Wynne De Lyle) who were both professional ventriloquists and puppeteers from Sheffield.

They brought joy and entertainment to wartime audiences with their conjuring and ventriloquist skills.

Well worth visiting Weston Park Museum to see the display "Professor De Lyle's Magic and Wonder Show", which shows some of the Punch and Judy puppets and a ventriloquial doll used by the De Lyles.

A about the exhibition can be seen You Tube.

Many thanks to David Monks, grandson of George Fox, for providing the information
