Silverwood
Silverwood was partly in Thrybergh and partly in Ravenfield. Described as a very extensive area. Two farms were subject to the Court and Church of Conisbrough
- Joshua, Fraser and Joseph Asker, were noted as Masons and Grindstone Quarry owners in 1833
On 2nd February, 1966 10 men died and 30 were injured when a diesel locomotive ran into the back of a paddy mail carrying about 40 day shift men to the coal face at Silverwood Colliery, Rotherham.
