Jamie Visits Rotherham --- again

Received 2 Emails and a phone call from Edinburgh, today. I did not watch the programme so cannot comment!

'Did you watch Jamie Oliver last night, he was in Rotherham, which has been portrayed in a really bad light, I felt embarrassed at the thought of how the rest of the country see us, apparently nobody can cook, we all live on takeaways, and the filming in All Saints Square was truly cringing stuff; where they had got the audience from I don't know, but Rotherham folk came across as a load of loud mouthed no hopers, I think the portrayal needs balancing, to get the story right!!, another instalment is on next week, hope it's not so awful!'

'Did you watch Jamie Oliver in Rawmarsh last night trying to teach people how to cook? Why don't they do cooking at school anymore?'

From Edinburgh, 'Isn't Rotherham a lovely place'

More Jamie

'It's perhaps as well that you didn't see it. Dreadfully embarrassing for the people of Rotherham. The sample who were chosen to participate were desperately short of social skills, common sense and any other meaningful attribute. How this short-tongued clown continues to attract interest from the TV companies is beyond me. It has been widely publicised that the Jamie Oliver company spends 1 million a year on living expenses and yet the people on basic minimum wage continue to support him if only by watching his ridiculous offerings...'

'One probably unexpected but not surprising side effect of Oliver's attention to Rotherham is that the takings at the nearby McDonalds have soared during the days of his visits'
